IELTS Speaking Part 2 – WH-Question Method
I have come across many people in my life who are concerned about protecting the natural world. When I was a child, I saw some of my family members taking care of plants, and as I grew older, I noticed several friends and neighbours who were conscious about keeping their surroundings clean and reducing waste. However, among all the environmentally conscious people I know, today I would like to talk about one particular person.
The person I would like to talk about is my close friend Rahul, who is extremely passionate about protecting the natural world. Among the people I know, he is probably the person who cares most about the environment.
He regularly takes care of plants, avoids using unnecessary plastic and makes sure that waste is disposed of properly. He also grows different kinds of plants around his house and encourages other people to keep their surroundings clean.
The main reason he does these things is that he strongly believes that protecting nature is everyone's responsibility. He is particularly concerned about pollution, deforestation and the increasing amount of plastic waste. He believes that even small changes in our daily habits can make a difference.
As I mentioned, he is one of my closest friends. He is a responsible and practical person, and he often influences people around him through his actions. Whenever we spend time together, he encourages me and our other friends to be more environmentally conscious.
Most of his environmental activities take place around his home and in our local neighbourhood. Sometimes, he also joins clean-up activities in nearby parks and public areas.
He has been interested in environmental protection for several years. He usually spends some time looking after his plants every morning and takes part in community activities whenever they are organised.
He looks after the natural world in several simple ways. He plants trees, waters his plants regularly, separates recyclable waste and avoids single-use plastic whenever possible. He also explains these habits to his friends and family. I really admire the way he turns his concern for nature into practical actions. His attitude has also influenced me to become more careful about the environment.
Overall, I really admire him because he does not simply talk about protecting nature; he actually takes practical steps to look after it. I think his attitude is inspiring, and I hope more people develop the same sense of responsibility towards the natural world.
